Cofra Support

Contact Cofra support and learn which safe, minimal diagnostics help investigate app, widget, and private iCloud synchronization issues.

Before contacting support

Please include only the minimum diagnostics needed to understand the problem:

  • Cofra version and build number.
  • Device model and iOS or iPadOS version.
  • Whether the issue affects the app, widget, or private iCloud synchronization.
  • The steps that reproduce the issue and the exact message shown on screen.
  • Whether the issue happens on one device or on multiple devices using the same Apple Account.

Do not include passwords, Apple Account credentials, full expense histories, CloudKit records, financial account information, or other secrets.

Protect your expense information

Expense amounts, notes, category names, and screenshots may reveal private financial information. Redact them before sending a message unless a specific detail is essential to explain the issue and you intentionally choose to share it.

Support cannot access your private CloudKit database by default. Never send an iCloud password or verification code. Cofra support will not ask for either one.

Topics support can help with

  • Adding, editing, and deleting expenses.
  • Category management and archived categories.
  • Dashboard summaries, date filters, and recent expenses.
  • Widget installation, freshness, and deep links.
  • Appearance, language, and accessibility behavior.
  • Private iCloud synchronization troubleshooting.
  • Privacy questions and support-correspondence requests.

Safe first steps

Before sending a message, verify that the device has a network connection, that it is signed in to the intended Apple Account, and that iCloud access for Cofra is enabled. Apple documents where to review per-app iCloud settings in Change which apps sync and store data with iCloud.

Do not sign out of iCloud, delete the app, reset the device, or delete iCloud data as a first troubleshooting step. Those actions can interrupt synchronization or remove local information. If a destructive recovery step becomes necessary, support should explain the expected data impact before you proceed.

Response expectations

Support is provided in English by email. Response time depends on request volume and issue complexity, so no guaranteed response time is offered. Sending one complete, redacted report is usually more useful than sending several partial messages.

Privacy questions

Read the Cofra Privacy Policy for information about app data, private iCloud synchronization, this website, and support correspondence. Use the privacy contact on that page for privacy-specific requests.
